Tube-sleeve assembly

This automated assembly system was developed for the high-precision processing of flexible tubes with aluminum sleeves. The tubing is cut to length from the coil, fitted with a sleeve, and then positioned and fixed in a controlled process. Depending on the material, fixation is achieved either through adhesive application and thermal curing, or via a pre-applied internal plastic coating on the sleeve followed by a thermal bond between the sleeve and the hose. A pre-assembly labeling of the sleeve is also integrated into the process.

A gripper and spreading system ensures stable handling of flexible components, while camera-based inspection and intelligent process monitoring ensure consistently high production quality, even in cleanroom environments with laminar flow.

The system is particularly suited for applications in pharmaceutical and vaccine development and manufacturing. It enables dead-space-free separation and the reliable sealing of media lines through the controlled crimping and cutting of the tube sleeve.
