Precise assembly at high volumes

WOLL’s clamp assembly system is designed for the automated assembly of double-lumen tubes using color-coded clamps.

An intelligent handling system grips the tube segments at both ends without torsion and spreads both lumen-tubes over a defined length with a tolerance of ±10 mm. The two differently colored clamps are supplied to a robot via separate feeding systems, which mounts them onto the open tube ends in a dual-sided joining station, ensuring correct assignment and preventing mix-ups. The assembled components are then transferred to the discharge conveyor.

The system integrates automatic cutting of the tube segments, controlled clamp feeding, and a discharge system with part carrier changeover into a continuous, stable assembly process. Short cycle times and a clearly defined process sequence ensure high system availability in series production.

The compact, modular system concept enables easy integration into existing production environments. The base frame with integrated enclosure, safety technology, and laminar flow module complies with the requirements for particle-free manufacturing.
